Secondary

Key stage 3

Our Curriculum

Most of our students at this stage are just entering adolescence which is a delicate time to balance academics with personal growth and discovery. Our teachers are more sensitive and patient with the students as they experience the different phases of growth.

Our teachers therefore offer great assistance to guide our students to make choices that are in line with their areas of academic strength coupled with relevant skills for the 21st Century work environment as well as their talents, character and aspirations.

Students’ personalities also become more pronounced and our teachers step in to nurture their skills that may include leadership, sports, arts, scientific innovations among others. This is done through co-curricular activities.

This is the start of the Secondary education for our students. These are our students who are twelve (12) to fourteen (14) years old about to join pre -university.

The Islamic Religious Subjects are given more depth and applicability in daily life so as to continue shaping the moral choices of our students. We purposely pursue both the secular subjects and the Islamic subjects with equal vigour to show our students Islam is a lifestyle whichever route or career they choose.

Continuous assessments are done regularly and parents are kept abreast of their children’s progress.

Overview

This is the time for our students to start thinking about their favourite subjects and how they can combine them in their pre-university studies as they undertake their IGCSE courses.

We take a lot of caution to ensure each individual student choses the best subject combination as per their academic strength and character traits and preferences as we know this is their future. It is a consultation process between the students, teachers and parents or guardians.
